How the studio treats the names and notes you send.
This notice tells you how Brand Growth Story Pte. Ltd. collects, uses, discloses and keeps personal data when you visit https://brandgrowthstory.life, send a note through the contact form, call the desk, or write to us. We follow the Personal Data Protection Act of Singapore (the PDPA) and the advisory materials published by the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC). The notice is written for a professional services studio that practises brand narrative and campaign craft. It covers communications work between organisations, and it is meant to be read in the same paced voice as the rest of these pages.
Last updated 02 September 2026.
A letter from the desk
When this notice says “we”, “us” or “the studio”, it means Brand Growth Story Pte. Ltd. When it says “you”, it means a visitor, a person who sends a note, a client contact, or a supplier contact whose personal data we hold for a professional purpose. We keep a small room on Collyer Quay. Access to personal data is limited to people who need it to reply, to run a chapter of the work, or to keep ordinary studio records. We treat a name as a person, not as a list to be traded.
The pages are hosted in the Singapore region. The founding year of the house is 2026. If a line here is unclear, write to privacy@brandgrowthstory.life and we will answer in plain language during SGT working hours.
Who holds the data
The organisation responsible for personal data on this site is Brand Growth Story Pte. Ltd. The studio address is 11 Collyer Quay, #16-05, The Arcade, Singapore 049317. Telephone +65 6702 8365. General notes go to hello@brandgrowthstory.life. Privacy questions go to privacy@brandgrowthstory.life. If you send a paper letter, mark the envelope for privacy so it reaches the right desk on sixteen.
We do not operate a public directory of contacts. We do not sell lists. A brief you send is a conversation with this house, and it stays inside the purposes described below unless a Singapore law asks us to show a record.
What arrives through the form
The form on /contact.php collects the name you type, the email address you type, and the message you write. The form also records that you ticked the consent box. Those three fields and the tick are the ordinary path by which a new story begins. The form posts to send.php on this host and is mailed to hello@brandgrowthstory.life. That is the primary purpose of the form: so we can read your note and reply.
A hidden field labelled Nickname exists to catch machines. Human visitors should leave it empty. If that field is filled, our handler treats the submission as automated and does not use the content for a thoughtful reply. The field is a decoy, not a request for a nickname you use in daily life.
The consent box is empty when the page loads. You tick it on purpose. That tick is our record of consent for that submission under the PDPA, for the purpose of a reply and the short conversation that may follow.
What arrives by other paths
If you write to hello@brandgrowthstory.life or privacy@brandgrowthstory.life we collect the address you send from, the subject, the body, and any files you attach. If you call +65 6702 8365 we collect the number presented by the network, the time of the call, and the notes we take so we can return the call or open a chapter. If you visit the Collyer Quay studio we may write your name in a visitor note for that day, so the room knows who is expected.
When you browse the site our host may record a technical log: date and time, the page requested, a general location derived from the network address, and the type of browser. Those logs exist to keep the host stable and to investigate abuse. They are not used to build a marketing profile or to score you as a lead.
If you open the Google Maps view on the contact page, Google may collect data under its own terms. See the maps paragraph later in this notice and the cookies page. The studio address remains written in plain text, so you can find 11 Collyer Quay without opening the embed.
During an engagement we may hold names, roles, work emails and work phone numbers of your colleagues, plus the brand materials you send. That material is client work product. We treat it as confidential under the terms of the engagement and under this notice when it contains personal data. Audience segmentation work we write for you is about markets and messages. It is not a licence to add your personal contacts to a campaign list without a separate, lawful basis.
Why we keep a record
We use contact-form data to read your note and to reply from hello@brandgrowthstory.life. We may also use the same details to propose an engagement path, to arrange a visit to Collyer Quay, or to send the written pages you asked for. We use email and telephone data for the same family of purposes: to answer, to schedule, to invoice when a chapter is agreed, and to keep a record of what was asked and what we said.
We use visitor notes to know who is in the building. We use host logs to keep the site available and to understand whether a request is genuine. We use the cookie preference described below so the banner does not repeat on every click for 180 days.
We will not use your note to send a newsletter you did not ask for. If a later project needs a new use that you would not reasonably expect, we will ask again. That is the manner of a small professional services studio: one purpose at a time, written down.
Consent, contract, and duty
The contact form asks for consent before we store a name, email and message for the purpose of a reply. When you email or call the studio, we treat the act of writing or calling as a request for a reply, and we use the details you volunteer to complete that request. If you later become a client, the engagement letter and the invoices create a contract. We then hold the personal data needed to perform that contract and to keep records a Singapore professional studio is expected to keep.
We may also hold data where a legal duty applies, for example when a public authority lawfully asks for a record, or when we must retain an invoice for tax administration. We keep those uses narrow. You may withdraw consent for a form reply by writing to privacy@brandgrowthstory.life. Withdrawal does not unwind a reply we have already sent. If an engagement is live, we will tell you what we still need to hold to close the work or to meet a legal duty.
How long a record lives
Notes that do not become an engagement are kept for twelve months from the last message, then deleted or anonymised. We keep them that long so a second note from the same person can be read in context, which is a kindness to both sides. Engagement files, including names of client contacts and the artefacts we produced, are kept for seven years after the close of the chapter. That period matches the way a Singapore professional studio is expected to keep commercial records. When the period ends we destroy or anonymise the personal data unless a live dispute or a legal hold requires a longer keep.
Host logs are rotated on the host’s ordinary cycle, usually within ninety days, unless we are investigating an incident. The cookie preference key bgs_prefs is stored in your browser for 180 days. After that the banner may appear again. See the cookies page for the button labels Agree, No thanks and Preferences. If you ask us to delete data and no legal duty blocks the request, we will complete the deletion within thirty days and write to confirm.
Your right to see and to amend
You may ask what personal data we hold about you and how we use it. You may ask us to correct an error. Send the request to privacy@brandgrowthstory.life from an address we can reasonably match to the record, or write to the Collyer Quay address and mark the envelope for privacy. We will respond within thirty days, or we will write to explain why a little more time is needed.
If we cannot show you a record because it also contains another person’s data, we will extract what we can or we will explain the limit. There is no fee for an ordinary request. If a request is repeated in a way that overloads the studio, we will say so and propose a practical path. You may also write to the PDPC if you believe we have not handled a request in line with the PDPA. The Commission publishes its process at pdpc.gov.sg. We would rather settle the matter with you first, in the same room where the work is written.
The preference named bgs_prefs
This site stores a first-party preference under the key bgs_prefs. The preference remembers whether you chose Agree, No thanks, or a saved Preferences choice. The retention is 180 days from the moment you choose. The preference lives in local storage in your browser. It is not an advertising identifier. It is not shared with a data broker. It exists so the banner can stay quiet and so a maps choice can be honoured.
The banner text on every page explains this. The buttons are labelled Agree, No thanks and Preferences. Preferences opens a panel where you can allow or refuse the Google Maps embed, then Save preferences. No thanks hides the banner and leaves maps off unless you later change your mind. A fuller account sits on the cookies page. We do not run a third-party advertising pixel on these pages.
The map on Collyer Quay
The contact page includes an embed that shows 11 Collyer Quay, The Arcade, Singapore 049317. The embed is served by Google. If you load that view, Google may set its own cookies and may collect a network address, a browser type, and interaction with the map. Those cookies are third-party cookies. They are governed by Google’s terms and privacy documentation, not by this notice alone.
You can refuse the embed through the Preferences panel in our banner, or by choosing No thanks. You can also use a browser control to block third-party cookies. The studio address remains written in plain text on the page, so you can walk to Raffles Place without opening the map. We include the map as a courtesy for people who want to find the waterfront CBD door. It is optional. It is not required to send a note to hello@brandgrowthstory.life.
Who else may see a slice
We disclose personal data to people inside the studio who need it for the purposes above. We may disclose it to a professional adviser, for example a lawyer or an accountant, when a matter requires it. We may disclose it when a Singapore law or a court order requires it. The website host in the Singapore region processes technical logs on our behalf. The mail path that carries hello@brandgrowthstory.life and privacy@brandgrowthstory.life processes the contents of those messages so we can read them. Google processes map data if you open the embed. Each of those parties acts on its own terms for the slice of data it sees.
We do not sell personal data. We do not trade notes as a list. If we ever appoint a new processor that changes this picture in a material way, we will update this notice and the dated note below. That update will be written in the same voice, so a reader who returns after a year can still recognise the house.
Crossing a border
The studio is in Singapore. These pages are hosted in the Singapore region. Email may travel across networks that leave Singapore for a moment in transit; that is the nature of internet mail. If an engagement requires us to share a file with a client team in another city, we do so because you asked us to work with that team. We will use a method that matches the sensitivity of the file. We do not run a hidden transfer of form notes to a marketing platform. The form posts to send.php on this host and is mailed to hello@brandgrowthstory.life.
When a house runs APAC campaigns from this city-state market, names of overseas colleagues may appear in the shared pages. Those names are held because the chapter of the work requires them. They are held under this notice and under the engagement letter. They are not added to a general list.
Care of the files
We use HTTPS on this domain. The contact handler checks origin and referer, limits how often one network address may post, and ignores decoy fields. Mailboxes are limited to people who need them. Paper notes in the Collyer Quay studio are kept on the floor and are not left in a public lobby of The Arcade. No method of storage is perfect. If we become aware of an incident that is likely to result in significant harm, we will assess it under the PDPA breach guidance and we will notify the people affected and the PDPC when that guidance says we must. We will write in plain language about what happened and what we did next.
Younger readers
This site describes professional brand and campaign services for organisations. We do not seek personal data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, write to privacy@brandgrowthstory.life and we will delete it. The work on these pages is a studio practice, not a lifestyle journal and not a room for younger visitors to leave their names.
Other doors on the web
This site links to our own pages and to a map embed. If you follow a link that leaves our host, the other publisher’s notice applies. Read it before you type personal data there. The PDPC site, when we point to it, is one such door. Google’s documentation for Maps is another. We remain responsible for the personal data we ourselves hold on Collyer Quay.
How this notice changes
We will change this notice when the law changes, when our practices change, or when a processor change makes the current text inaccurate. The date at the top and in the dated note will move. Material changes will be posted on this page before they apply to new notes. If a change affects a live engagement in a way you would not expect, we will write to the contact we hold for that chapter. A live chapter keeps the notice that applied when it opened, unless both sides agree to move.
