A quiet preference, a map, and how to refuse them.

Meeting corner where cookie and privacy notes sit with the studio papers

This page explains what Brand Growth Story Pte. Ltd. stores in your browser when you visit https://brandgrowthstory.life, what a third party may store if you open the map on the contact page, and how you can refuse or clear those items. The studio is at 11 Collyer Quay, #16-05, The Arcade, Singapore 049317. Write to privacy@brandgrowthstory.life if a line here is unclear. Last updated 02 September 2026.

Why a banner appears

We show a dialog labelled Cookie preferences on the first visit and again when a stored choice has expired. The dialog tells you that we keep a preference (bgs_prefs) for 180 days so the banner stays quiet. It also tells you that the contact map uses Google Maps, which may set its own cookies. Three buttons sit under the text: Agree, No thanks and Preferences. Preferences opens a panel with a checkbox for the Google Maps embed and a Save preferences button.

The banner is part of the page chrome. It is not an advertisement. It does not score you as a lead. It exists so a choice you make can last for 180 days and so the same question does not interrupt every click through the Collyer Quay studio’s pages.

What we store, and what we do not invite

Strictly necessary items keep the site usable. The HTML, the stylesheet at /css/style.css, and the script at /js/main.js must load for the pages to work as designed. Those files do not, by themselves, write a marketing profile. A short-lived host log may record that a page was requested. That log is a technical record, kept on a host in the Singapore region, and it is not a campaign tool.

Preference items remember a decision you made. On this site the preference is bgs_prefs. It stores a choice of agree or decline, plus an expiry 180 days ahead. The script writes it to local storage in your browser. Local storage is not a classic HTTP cookie, but we treat it with the same respect because it is a stored preference about cookies and maps.

Embedded map items appear only if you load the Google Maps view on /contact.php. They are third-party cookies and similar files set by Google. They are not set by our send.php handler and they are not required to post a note to hello@brandgrowthstory.life. We do not run an advertising category on these pages. We do not drop a pixel that follows you around the city-state market. If that ever changes, this page and the dated note will say so before the pixel appears.

The key named bgs_prefs

Name: bgs_prefs. Place: local storage on brandgrowthstory.life. Life: 180 days from the moment you press Agree, No thanks, or Save preferences. Purpose: remember that you have seen the banner and what you chose, so we can hide the dialog and honour a maps choice. The script at /js/main.js is the only first-party writer of this key.

If you press Agree, we record an agree choice. The banner hides. The maps checkbox is treated as allowed unless you later change it. If you press No thanks, we record a decline choice. The banner hides. We treat maps as refused for that period. If you press Preferences, the panel opens. You may tick or untick Google Maps embed, then press Save preferences. Save writes agree when the box is ticked and decline when it is not. When 180 days pass, or when you clear site data, the key expires or disappears. The banner may show again. That is intended. We would rather ask again than keep a silent preference forever.

Button labels in plain language

Agree means you are content for the studio to store bgs_prefs and to treat the maps embed as allowed. No thanks means you want the banner gone and you do not want us to treat maps as allowed. Preferences means you want to decide about maps before we store the preference. Save preferences means write the choice now and hide the panel.

Those four labels — Agree, No thanks, Preferences, Save preferences — are the only controls we give you inside the dialog. You also have the controls in your own browser, which we describe below. The labels are chosen so a visitor can decide without learning a private vocabulary.

Vendor list

Brand Growth Story Pte. Ltd. — first-party preference bgs_prefs, plus ordinary hosting logs on a host in the Singapore region. Purpose: remember a banner choice and keep the site available. Contact: privacy@brandgrowthstory.life. Address: 11 Collyer Quay, #16-05, The Arcade, Singapore 049317.

Google LLC / Google Maps — third-party embed on the contact page, loaded only when that iframe is requested. Purpose: show 11 Collyer Quay, The Arcade, on a map. Google may set cookies and collect a network address, a browser type, and map interactions under Google’s own documentation. You can refuse the embed through our Preferences panel or by pressing No thanks. You can still read the address in text and send a note. The map is a courtesy for people walking to Raffles Place. It is not a gate.

No other vendor is invited to set a cookie from the chrome of this site as of 02 September 2026. Fonts are requested from a stylesheet that may cause a font host to see a network request. That request is for type, not for a stored advertising identifier from our side.

How to refuse or clear

Use No thanks, or untick the maps box and Save preferences. Clear local storage for brandgrowthstory.life in your browser if you want the key gone immediately. Block third-party cookies if you want to limit Google’s files even after a map is opened. Use a browser setting that deletes site data when the window closes if you prefer a clean slate each day.

You can also write to privacy@brandgrowthstory.life and ask us to confirm what the studio itself stores. We can speak to bgs_prefs and to our host logs. We cannot reach into Google’s systems on your behalf; you will need Google’s own tools for that slice. Refusing the map does not stop the contact form. Name, email, message and consent still post to send.php and still go to hello@brandgrowthstory.life.

A dated note

If we add a vendor, a new key, or a new button label, we will update this page and move the date. 02 September 2026 is the first published cookie note for Brand Growth Story Pte. Ltd. It discloses 180 days, the labels Agree / No thanks / Preferences, and Google Maps as a vendor. Read the privacy notice for how personal data in a note is handled, and the terms for the engagement itself. The publisher is named on legal.
